1972 – The Beginning

The foundation of the group was laid in 1972 with the establishment of Calcutta Steel Industries. During this period, the company focused on manufacturing thin flat patra, marking the beginning of a strong industrial journey driven by quality, dedication, and a vision for long-term growth in the steel sector.

1984 – Expansion into Steel Industry

In 1984, the group expanded its operations by establishing National Iron and Steel Industries. This step strengthened its presence in the steel sector, enabling the company to enhance production capabilities and serve a wider range of industrial requirements with improved efficiency and reliability.

1990 – Engineering Advancements

The journey progressed further in 1990 with the launch of CS Engineers. During this phase, a rolling mill was also introduced, significantly boosting manufacturing capacity and technical capabilities, while reinforcing the company’s position in engineering and industrial production.

1995 – Entering Forging Sector

In 1995, Amar Forgings was established as a major milestone in the company’s evolution. This move marked the group’s entry into the forging industry, allowing it to diversify its product range and cater to growing market demands with precision-engineered forging solutions.
